Background: Although Melissa Guerrero was born in Forestopolis, her family had to do a lot of moving around before finally being able to settle down at one spot permanently because of her parents’ work. Luckily, they were able to come back to Forestopolis, because if they couldn’t, then Tenacity wouldn't have had a friend back in the middle school years of the Forestopolis Academy. Later on, she becomes the best of friends with Jacqueline, Rose, and Nermal during the high school years. Though she doesn't feel like she is as smart as Tenacity or Rose, she was still at a good place in the class rankings(somewhere right below Tenacity's rank). And though Melissa is still a pretty timid person to this day, she does a very good job as a waitress at one of the restaurants. Besides around her friends, her job is the only place she's NOT afraid to say something to anyone. Everyone pretty much loves her there, but sooner or later, they'll have to say goodbye to her as she is trying to get a much better paying job so that she can get out of her parents’ house. She’s wanting to live in something bigger and/or better, but for now, she’s having to endure under her mother’s care and her father’s rule. Despite the struggles, Melissa always reminds herself of her goals and motivates herself to keep pushing(with her friends being her support system, of course). Here’s hoping that Amethyst’s situation doesn’t make everything harder for her.
